Now a days engineering jobs are not easy because the world is transferred from old methods to new concepts. According to new theories it is necessary for an engineers to import some skills in his own life. An engineer must be professional in his work. According to me now a days the software has a big role in the development of world. So an engineer must be skill full in software. So i am going to write some softwares important for a civil engineer.

  • AutoCad:
for the designing a plan autocad is one of the best software. Also used for dafting..

for building information modeling revit is one of the best software. It's is a one of the best civil engineering software.

  • Microsoft excel

Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet developed by Microsoft. It features calculation, graphing tools, pivot tables, and a macro programming language called Visual Basic for Applications. It's use is in civil engineering as like water use in our life.


  • Etabs: 

ETABS is the ultimate integrated software package for the structural analysis and design of buildings.

 Civil engineering software SAP2000 is another software available for design and analysis of structures. It is also used in many structural firms. SAP2000 has a wide selection of templates for quickly starting a new model.

    I guess I am the only one who came here to share my very own experience. Guess what!? I am using my laptop for almost the past 2 years, but I had no idea of solving some basic issues.
